Hollywood Bail Bonds, Open 24 Hours

Hollywood never sleeps, and neither do we. If someone was arrested near Hollywood and Highland, on the boulevard or up in the hills, call (213) 725-2815. We answer all day and all night.

Many families who call about Hollywood live far away. Some are out of state. This page covers where arrestees usually go, how a bond works when you cannot be there, and how 1% down on approved credit makes the first step smaller.

Hollywood Division and the station on Wilcox

Hollywood is its own LAPD Division. The station is at 1358 N. Wilcox Avenue and the phone is 213-972-2971. See our Hollywood station page for more.

The division covers the Walk of Fame, the TCL Chinese Theatre, the Hollywood Bowl area and the busy blocks around Hollywood and Highland. Tourist crowds, club nights and big shows all mean more officers on the street and more bookings on weekends.

Locals know that Hollywood's streets change fast. A block from the Walk of Fame can feel like a different world from the quiet streets up toward Beachwood Canyon. Arrests on any of them go through the same station, but the type of charge differs, and so does the bail.

Where arrests from Hollywood usually go

Most people arrested in Hollywood usually go to the Metropolitan Detention Center at 180 N. Los Angeles St. downtown. LAPD can move people, so confirm before you drive. The inmate line is 213-473-6100.

The station may hold someone briefly before transport. You cannot post a bond until booking is complete. We can start your paperwork in the meantime so it is ready. Open the online application any time.

Hollywood to downtown, by freeway or Metro

The 101 Hollywood Freeway runs from the Cahuenga Pass straight to downtown, and the 5 and the 110 branch from there. On Metro, the B Line starts at Hollywood and Highland and goes to Union Station. From Union Station it is a walk or a short ride to Los Angeles Street.

Parking near the jail is limited, so look for a lot on or near Los Angeles Street. If you cannot come, we can often work by phone, text and electronic signing. Ask when you call.

If you ride the B Line, check the time of the last train before you head back at night. Many families leave the jail after midnight and find that service has thinned. A rideshare home can be easier, especially if the person is released late and tired.

Out of town families and visitors

Visitors arrested in Hollywood often have no local family. A relative back home can call us, answer the questions and sign electronically when approved. A co-signer does not have to live in Los Angeles.

Be ready with the full legal name, birth date, booking number if you have it, and the charge. The find someone in jail guide shows how to get these from the county locator. Ask for a Spanish speaking agent if that helps your family.

Court and what the bond requires

People booked downtown are arraigned downtown. Our data lists the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center on W. Temple St. for many Hollywood cases. A bail bond means the person must go to every court date. Read about what happens if one is missed in the missed court date guide.

If the arrest was a first offense, the new rules for pre arraignment release may matter. See how LA pre arraignment release works.

What 1% down means for you

With Bail Today, Pay Later you can start with 1% of the bail down on approved credit. The premium is 10% of the bail, or 8% if a private attorney is retained or the defendant or co-signer is a veteran. The rest is on monthly payments.

Check the bail calculator and the page on how 1% down bail works.

Events, venues and weekend arrests

Big shows at the Hollywood Bowl, award season, concerts and premiere nights bring crowds and extra patrols. Weekends on and around Hollywood and Highland are the busiest of all. A night out can end in an arrest for disorderly conduct, a drunk driving stop on Sunset or a theft charge from a crowded shop.

If you are calling about someone arrested at an event, remember that the person may have no ID, no phone and no money with them. Property is held at booking and returned at release. Ask them to remember the name of the arresting agency and the time. That helps when you call the station or jail line.

The hills above the boulevard are a different story. Some are in nearby divisions, and our pages for Hollywood Hills and East Hollywood explain those edges. If the person was on the line between two areas, we help you check before you go anywhere.

Whatever the cause, the bond works the same way. You choose a co-signer, qualify for 1% down on approved credit and set up monthly payments. Then the person is released after the jail finishes its own processing. We cannot say how long that takes, because it depends on the jail, the hour and the count of people ahead.

1% down is a down payment on approved credit, not the price of the bond. The premium is the rate on file with the California Department of Insurance, 10% of the bail amount, or 8% when a private attorney is retained or you or the defendant is a veteran. The balance goes on a payment plan.
