Jefferson Park Bail Bonds
When someone from Jefferson Park is arrested, the first question is usually where they are. The second is how to get them home. Jane Un Bail Bonds is a licensed California bail agent, open 24 hours, and you can call (213) 725-2815 for help with both.
Jefferson Park is a South Los Angeles neighborhood of Craftsman homes and tree lined streets, just south of the 10 and west of the Harbor Freeway. Jefferson Boulevard, Western Avenue and Arlington Avenue run through it, and ZIPs 90016, 90018 and 90019 cover it.

Who covers Jefferson Park
Jefferson Park is in LAPD's Southwest Area. The station is at 1546 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90062. We could not find a published front desk number for it, so we do not print one. Our Southwest station page lists more.
The neighborhood has many neighbors, including Leimert Park, West Adams, Arlington Heights and Mid-City. If your person was arrested right on the edge, ask which station made the arrest.
If you cannot reach the desk, do not give up. Jail information lines and the online locator work around the clock, and they are often the quickest way to see where a person is, what the charge is, and what the bail was set at.
Where the person is probably held
South Bureau arrests usually go to the 77th Street Regional Jail, 7600 S. Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90003, phone 323-786-5541. We say usually, because LAPD can move people, and because the 77th Street jail has no medical staff until January 4, 2027, according to NBC Los Angeles in October 2026. People who need medical care may be sent downtown or to Van Nuys.
Confirm with the county locator at app5.lasd.org/iic or by calling 213-473-6100. Our 77th Street jail page gives the address and visiting hours.
Because the booking location may differ from what families expect, always confirm before you leave the house. A wasted trip at 2 in the morning is the last thing you need.
Quiet streets, stressed families
Many families in Jefferson Park have owned their homes for years, and some are raising children or caring for older parents. An arrest can upset the whole household. If kids are involved, tell them something simple and true, and keep their routine going.
If the person who was arrested is the one who drives or earns the most, talk with the family about money for the next few weeks. A bond is a monthly plan, and it is easier to carry when everyone knows the number from the start.
A friend or neighbor can help with practical things, like feeding a pet, collecting mail or driving a child to school. Accepting help is not weakness, and it keeps the household running while you handle the bond.
Getting there from Jefferson Park
From Jefferson Boulevard, the 10 is minutes away for downtown and the 110 is minutes away for the south. The drive to the 77th Street jail is about 15 to 20 minutes at night, by Western or Vermont and then Broadway. Rush hour can double it.
The Metro E Line runs near the neighborhood, and several bus lines cross Jefferson and Western. A ride share is often simpler late at night.
Parking near Broadway can be tough in the daytime, and enforcement is strict near the station. Read every sign twice.
What the bond costs
The premium is 10% of bail, or 8% with a private attorney or a veteran defendant or co-signer. With 1% down on approved credit, the first payment is small and the rest goes on a monthly plan through Bail Today, Pay Later.
On a $15,000 bail, 1% is $150 down and the premium is $1,500 at 10%. On a $65,000 bail, $650 down and a $6,500 premium. Approval is required, and 1% is not the price.
Use the calculator or start the online application, which takes about 4 minutes.
Bonds on larger bail amounts may require more review. If bail is high, call early in the day and have the co-signer ready with an ID and a pay stub, so we can finish the review without delay.
Court dates and what to keep
Where the case is heard depends on the charge and where the person was booked. Our records do not list one courthouse for Southwest Area cases. Read the release paperwork, and keep it in a folder with the booking number.
If you lose it, call us. We will help you look it up. A missed court date can lead to a warrant and a forfeited bond, which can cost a co-signer a lot. Our guide on what to do after an arrest has a short checklist.
If you are not sure the date on your paperwork is right, call the court clerk or us. It is always better to double check than to guess, because a missed date puts the bond at risk.
Nearby neighborhoods
If the arrest happened just north or east of here, our pages for Arlington Heights and Adams-Normandie may match better. The same jail rules and the same bond steps apply.
1% down is a down payment on approved credit, not the price of the bond. The premium is the rate on file with the California Department of Insurance, 10% of the bail amount, or 8% when a private attorney is retained or you or the defendant is a veteran. The balance goes on a payment plan.
