West Adams Bail Bonds, Old Houses and Long Nights

West Adams is known for its grand old homes, but an arrest here looks like it does anywhere else. A phone rings late, someone is scared, and nobody knows where the person is.

Call Jane Un Bail Bonds at (213) 725-2815 and a person answers, any hour. We will explain which station and jail are likely, how the court works and how 1% down on approved credit can fit the bail. Anyone can call for the person.

Southwest Division and the station on MLK

West Adams is in LAPD Southwest Division. The station is at 1546 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90062. We do not have a verified front desk phone, so use the 24 hour line at 213-473-6100. Our Southwest station page has more.

The neighborhood runs along Adams Boulevard and Washington Boulevard, and it covers ZIP codes 90016, 90018, 90019 and 90008. It sits beside Jefferson Park, Arlington Heights and Leimert Park, and the West Adams Heritage Historic Districts are the part most people know.

The neighborhood has historic craftsman homes, churches, small apartment buildings and busy corridors such as Crenshaw, La Brea and Western. Because it is wide, an arrest on the west side of it can fall under a different division than one on the east side. If the Southwest desk does not have the person, ask them where else to check.

Where arrests usually go

In our data, arrests from here are usually booked at the 77th Street Regional Jail, 7600 S. Broadway. That is an inference. LAPD does not publish an area to jail chart. NBC LA reported in October 2026 that the 77th Street jail has no medical staff until January 2027, so some arrestees are sent to the downtown jail or the Valley jail.

Search app5.lasd.org/iic or call 213-473-6100 before you drive.

When you arrive, bring a photo ID and the person's full name and birth date. Bail can be posted around the clock at an LAPD jail. Our agent can help with the forms, so you are not guessing at 3 AM. How fast the person leaves is up to the jail, and we promise no set time.

Getting around the neighborhood and out

West Adams is crossed by the 10 freeway and the Metro E Line runs near Jefferson and Crenshaw. The E Line goes downtown, which is the quickest way to reach the downtown jail or our office without parking. By car, take the 10 east or the 110 north.

At night the drive to Broadway takes about 15 minutes. At rush hour it can take much longer.

If the person was driving, the car may have been towed. Ask the officer or the station which yard has it, and move quickly because storage fees add up. The tow fee is separate from bail.

Homes, rentals and family calls

Many West Adams families have owned their homes for decades, and many others rent. A parent who owns a home is often a good co-signer, but you do not need to own property. Proof of income matters more. Pay stubs, bank statements or a letter from an employer all help. Approval is never guaranteed.

Read co-signer responsibilities before you sign. A co-signer promises the person will make every court date and that the balance will be paid.

Gig workers, church staff, teachers and nurses live here, and many have irregular pay. Bring what you have. If you are not sure it counts, ask. We will say plainly whether more is needed.

Court for a West Adams arrest

Our records do not list one courthouse for this area. Cases may begin at the downtown Central Arraignment Courthouse, 429 Bauchet St., or at another court depending on the charge and location. Your paperwork shows the date and room.

If you are unsure, call us and we will help. A missed date can forfeit a bond, so read the missed court date guide before the day.

For free legal help, our resources directory at /resources/ lists public defenders, court self help and legal aid.

Court days are long. Plan childcare, time off work and a ride. If the person is out on a bond, everyone should know the date and room, because a missed hearing can lead to a warrant.

Cost and 1% down

Bonds carry a premium of 10% of the bail, the filed rate, or 8% if a private attorney is retained or the defendant or co-signer is a veteran. With Bail Today, Pay Later, the down payment is 1% on approved credit, with the rest on a monthly plan.

On a $30,000 bail, the 10% premium is $3,000, and the down payment is $300 on approved credit. The calculator shows your number. Start at the application. Plan on about 4 minutes, and no SSN is entered online.

Neighbors in Jefferson Park and Leimert Park use the same station.

If a private attorney is retained or the person is a veteran, ask about the 8% premium. Approval and a co-signer may be required. We go over each number before you sign.

1% down is a down payment on approved credit, not the price of the bond. The premium is the rate on file with the California Department of Insurance, 10% of the bail amount, or 8% when a private attorney is retained or you or the defendant is a veteran. The balance goes on a payment plan.
