Century Regional Detention Facility (CRDF)
How Do I Find a Woman at Century Regional Detention Facility (CRDF)?
Use the LASD Inmate Information Center with her last name, first name and date of birth. If she does not appear, call (213) 473-6100. Records are not available for bookings in the last 2 hours. CRDF is where LASD houses women, but a new arrest is often booked at another jail first.
Find someone at Century Regional Detention Facility (CRDF)
Search the Sheriff's Inmate Information Center by name and date of birth, or by booking number. You can also call LASD at 213-473-6100.
Have ready
- Full legal name, spelled the way it is on their ID
- Date of birth
- Booking number, if you have it
Stuck? Call us at (213) 725-2815 and we will look up the booking with you.
What do I need to search for someone held at CRDF?
CRDF is at 11705 S. Alameda St. in Lynwood. LASD says women in county custody are held here. The county lookup is shared by every LASD and LAPD jail, so you do not search CRDF on its own. You use the LASD Inmate Information Center and enter these.
- Last name
- First name
- Middle name if you know it
- Date of birth
If you have more than one spelling of her name, or a maiden name, try each one. LASD says people are sometimes booked with a middle name and sometimes without, so try both. A full legal name search returns the booking number.
Why can't I find her at CRDF yet?
There are two common reasons. The first is timing. Records are not available for bookings in the last 2 hours. The second is location. A woman is usually booked at a city jail or a Sheriff jail first. She may then pass through the Inmate Reception Center downtown, and later be housed at CRDF.
So when you do not see CRDF in the results, she may simply not be there yet. Check again after a while. Do not drive to Lynwood until the lookup shows her there.
What if the CRDF search shows nothing at all?
Call LASD at (213) 473-6100. LAPD says this number answers 24 hours a day with information on anyone held at LAPD or LASD jails. Have her full name and date of birth. If you know the date she was arrested, say it. LASD says this helps when you ask for a booking number.
Our guide on finding someone in jail in Los Angeles has more ideas. If you are worried about her health, LASD lists a Medical Command Center line at (213) 893-5544, open 24 hours, for medical emergency concerns.
What if she is moved away from CRDF?
LASD says it does not notify families when someone is moved to another facility. Call (213) 473-6100 if her name drops off or the location changes. Also, LASD says some inmates are "unclassified," with no permanent housing yet. They cannot get calls or visits, and classification can take two weeks to a month. A woman just booked may be in that group.
It can feel like the system is hiding her from you, but a gap of a few hours between arrest and listing is normal. Keep a notepad with the date, the time you searched and the name spelling you used. That makes a call to LASD faster, because staff can see what you already tried.
Once you find her, write the booking number down. You will need it for sending money to CRDF, for mail and when asking about release.
Does the CRDF lookup show how much bail is?
We do not know. LASD does not say the lookup shows bail, and nobody on our side has confirmed it with a live search. To find the amount, call LASD at (213) 473-6100 and ask. Read more on bail amounts for women held at CRDF.
If bail is set and a family needs help with it, you can start with 1% of the bail amount down on approved credit. The premium is set by our filed rate, and the rest goes on a payment plan. See how 1% down works or apply online. We are a licensed private bail agent, not part of LASD, and approval is required.
1% down is a down payment on approved credit, not the price of the bond. The premium is the rate on file with the California Department of Insurance, 10% of the bail amount, or 8% when a private attorney is retained or you or the defendant is a veteran. The balance goes on a payment plan.
Questions people ask
Is there a separate search for CRDF?
No. LASD and LAPD jails share one county lookup. You search by name and date of birth.
How soon can I find her after arrest?
Records are not available for bookings in the last 2 hours. Wait and try again.
Why is she not at CRDF yet?
A new arrest is often booked at another jail first and moved later. Call (213) 473-6100 to check.
Will LASD tell me if she is moved?
No. LASD says it does not notify families of facility moves.
