How Is Bail Set for a Woman at Century Regional Detention Facility (CRDF)?

Los Angeles County uses a court bail schedule. The 2026 felony schedule took effect January 1, 2026. Many low level arrests are released with $0 bail before arraignment. To find the amount for a woman held at CRDF, call LASD at (213) 473-6100. Arraignment typically happens within 48 hours, except weekends and holidays.

An estimate only. Final terms depend on approval. The premium is the filed rate. 1% down is a down payment on approved credit.

How is bail set for a woman held at CRDF?

Bail is not set by CRDF. It comes from the Los Angeles Superior Court schedule, which applies to every jail in the county. The court's current felony list is the 2026 Felony Bail Schedule, effective January 1, 2026. It lists a base amount for each charge and adds enhancements, with a worksheet to total it. Wobblers are in the misdemeanor schedule. We could not confirm the current misdemeanor schedule link, so check lacourt.ca.gov or ask the jail. An unlisted felony defaults to $0 bail.

A woman housed at CRDF usually had bail set earlier, at booking. If you want the number, ask LASD.

Does she need bail at all?

Not always. Since October 1, 2023, the Pre-Arraignment Release Protocol has decided who goes home without paying before arraignment. Arrests are sorted three ways.

  • CR, cite and release. A promise to appear, $0 bail.
  • BR, book and release. A promise to appear, $0 bail.
  • MR, magistrate review.

Capital offenses, Penal Code 1270.1 offenses and offenses with 1269b(e) enhancements are not eligible for $0 release. A person on felony probation, parole or PRCS, or with three or more recent failures to appear, goes to a magistrate. Read our guide on pre-arraignment release.

How do I find the bail amount for CRDF?

Call LASD at (213) 473-6100 with her full name and date of birth. You can also read the court schedule for her charge. We do not know whether the LASD lookup shows bail, so do not count on it. The amount set before arraignment does not bind the judge, so it may change at the first hearing.

See our page on finding a woman at CRDF if you cannot locate her yet.

Can the bail for a woman at CRDF be lowered?

Before arraignment, sometimes. The court says an attorney, friend or family member can ask a magistrate for a lower release or release on own recognizance. Call the Pre-Arraignment Support Unit at (213) 633-6350 within two hours of booking. It is available 24 hours. It is not an option for Penal Code 1270.1 offenses, and police may ask to raise bail in the same window.

Arraignment typically happens within 48 hours of arrest unless there is a holiday or weekend. A lawyer can ask the judge to review bail then. The court cites In re Humphrey (2021), which says release cannot depend only on ability to pay. See how much bail costs in California.

What help exists for a pregnant woman held at CRDF?

If she is pregnant and bail is set, our community program for qualifying pregnant women may help. Qualifying women may receive a reduced or waived bail bond premium. A co-signer is required. It is subject to approval and underwriting, so we cannot promise it for any one case.

For everyone else, a bond is available on a payment plan. The premium is set by our filed rate. Use the calculator on this page for a quick figure.

Start with 1% of the bail amount down on approved credit. The premium is set by our filed rate, and the rest goes on a payment plan. See how 1% down works or apply online. We are a licensed private bail agent, not part of LASD, and approval is required. Her family can read how a bond works at CRDF after bail.

1% down is a down payment on approved credit, not the price of the bond. The premium is the rate on file with the California Department of Insurance, 10% of the bail amount, or 8% when a private attorney is retained or you or the defendant is a veteran. The balance goes on a payment plan.
