Harbor City Bail Bonds, Serving the Harbor Area
Harbor City is far from downtown. If someone was arrested near the Harbor Freeway or Pacific Coast Highway, you need an agent who knows how far the jail and court really are.
Call (213) 725-2815 and we will help you find where your loved one is held, explain the bail and get a bond started if you choose. We are open 24 hours. This page covers Harbor Division, how to trace an arrest in the south bay, the long drive north and how 1% down on approved credit works.

LAPD Harbor Division and the station in San Pedro
Harbor City is in LAPD Harbor Division, whose station is at 2175 John S. Gibson Blvd., San Pedro, CA 90731. The phone is 310-726-7700. The station is a few miles south of Harbor City, close to the port. Our Harbor station page has the details.
Harbor Division covers a long stretch that includes San Pedro, Wilmington and Harbor Gateway. Harbor City itself is a quieter residential and industrial area along Normandie Avenue, with the Harbor Freeway running along its east side.
Harbor City also touches Lomita and Torrance along its edges, and people sometimes get arrested just across the border by a different police department entirely. If the arrest was in Torrance or Lomita, a city or sheriff agency would hold the person and the steps would differ. Tell us the exact address and we can sort it out.
Where arrests from Harbor City go
LAPD does not publish a simple chart of which jail takes which area, and our records do not name a fixed booking jail for Harbor. People are often held at the station first and then moved. Where they land next can be the downtown Metropolitan Detention Center or another LAPD jail.
That uncertainty is why we say call to confirm. The 24 hour line at 213-473-6100 covers LAPD and county jails, and you can search the LASD Inmate Information Center at app5.lasd.org/iic. If you cannot find the person, call us and we will keep looking with you.
The long drive north
From Harbor City to downtown is roughly 20 miles up the 110. Without traffic it is about half an hour. At rush hour it can take well over an hour. If you rely on transit, the Metro J Line runs along the 110 busway from the Harbor Gateway Transit Center to downtown.
Families without a car should tell us right away. We can handle a lot of the process by phone and online, so you are not forced to make the trip at 3 AM.
If you drive, bring a phone charger and some cash for parking. Facilities near downtown charge for lots, and the walk from a parked car can be long and dark. Going with another family member is safer, and it helps to have someone keep calls going while you drive.
Port, refinery and warehouse worker families
Many people who live in the Harbor area work at the port, in warehouses or on shift jobs. That matters for bail because steady work helps with approval. If you or a co-signer has a pay stub, bring it or photograph it. Read what co-signers agree to before you sign.
Shift workers often cannot leave work to sit in an office. We can talk to you at odd hours and many steps are done online or on the phone.
Court for a Harbor area case
Our records do not list a standard courthouse for this area. Cases can be heard at a courthouse in the south region or downtown, depending on the charge and the incident location. The clearest source is the paperwork from booking. If it is unclear, call us and we will help you find the correct courtroom.

Never rely on a rumor about the court. Call the clerk or check the paperwork, because the wrong courthouse costs hours. Bring a photo ID and arrive early. If you need legal aid, our resources directory lists where to ask.
Cost and 1% down
Here is the real cost. The premium is 10% of the bail, the filed rate, and 8% with a retained private attorney or a veteran defendant or co-signer. With Bail Today, Pay Later, you pay 1% down on approved credit, and the remaining premium is spread over monthly payments.
With bail of $30,000, the premium at 10% is $3,000, and the down payment is $300 on approved credit. Your own figure is on the calculator, and you can begin at the application in about 4 minutes.
Once the bond is posted, we give you a written statement of the transaction. Keep every page. It shows the bond number, the court date and what you owe each month.
Neighbors in Wilmington and San Pedro follow the same Harbor Division process.
1% down is a down payment on approved credit, not the price of the bond. The premium is the rate on file with the California Department of Insurance, 10% of the bail amount, or 8% when a private attorney is retained or you or the defendant is a veteran. The balance goes on a payment plan.
