Westside, Los Angeles
Playa Vista Bail Bonds
Playa Vista is a planned Westside community near the coast, and an arrest here can come as a shock. Jane Un Bail Bonds is a licensed California bail agent, open all night at (213) 725-2815. Whether the call is for a spouse, a roommate or a son in college, we can take it from here.
Playa Vista covers ZIPs 90094 and 90066, with Playa Vista Central Park, the Ballona Creek Wetlands and Jefferson Boulevard as local landmarks. It sits next to Playa del Rey, Westchester and Del Rey. Many residents work in tech, media or entertainment, and many rent.
This page covers the station, the jail, the court and the cost.

The Pacific station on Culver Boulevard
Playa Vista is in LAPD's Pacific Area. The station is at 12312 Culver Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90066, and the front desk number is 310-482-6334. The Pacific Area also covers Venice, Mar Vista, Palms, Del Rey and Westchester, including the airport side.
See our Pacific station page. The station is only a few minutes from Playa Vista by Jefferson Boulevard or Culver Boulevard, which helps if you want to ask a question in person.
The Pacific station sits close to the Playa Vista edge, so families sometimes walk in with a question. Staff are polite, but they may only confirm whether a person is in custody.
Which jail
LAPD publishes three jail facilities and no area table. Our records show Pacific Area arrests usually go to the Metropolitan Detention Center downtown, 180 N. Los Angeles St., with a medium level of confidence. LAPD can move people, especially for medical clearance.
Our MDC page has the address, the phone and the visiting hours. Check the county locator at app5.lasd.org/iic or call 213-473-6100 before you go.
If the arrest was at the airport or on the airport side of Westchester, a different agency may have been involved. The record will say. Do not assume, and do not drive downtown until you have seen it.
The route to downtown
From Playa Vista, downtown is about 15 miles. Take Jefferson or Lincoln to the 405 or the 90, then the 10 east. At night, it is about 25 to 35 minutes. On a weekday it can take more than an hour.
The Metro E Line from Culver City or Expo Park stations reaches downtown, but it is not a quick option from here. A ride share or a friend with a car is simpler. Our office at 900 Avila St Suite 101 is a short walk from the jail.
The Airport Courthouse
Pacific Area cases are often heard at the Airport Courthouse at 11701 S. La Cienega Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90045, which is not far from Playa Vista. A person booked downtown may have a first appearance at the Central Arraignment Courthouse instead. The paperwork names the actual court, so check it.
Parking at the Airport Courthouse is easier than downtown, but security still takes time. Arrive early and bring the notice, a photo ID and a pen.
If the person is a first time defendant, a misdemeanor case may be handled quickly. A felony can mean several court dates over months. Ask the attorney or the public defender how long the case may last.
Renters, roommates and out of town families
Many people in Playa Vista live far from their parents or siblings. If a roommate or a young adult was arrested, the family may be hundreds of miles away. That is fine. A family member anywhere can call us and apply online.
The co-signer can sign by phone and email, and we can accept proof of income by photo or PDF. Our guide on co-signer responsibilities explains what a co-signer promises.
If the co-signer works in tech or media with a salary, a recent pay stub is enough. If income is from contract work, bring bank statements, invoices or a 1099, and tell us how you are paid.
What the bond costs
The premium is 10% of bail, or 8% with a private attorney or a veteran defendant or co-signer. With 1% down on approved credit, the first payment is small and the rest is a monthly plan through Bail Today, Pay Later.
On a $20,000 bail, 1% is $200 down against a $2,000 premium at 10%. On a $80,000 bail, $800 down against $8,000. Approval is required, and 1% is not the price.
Try the online application, which takes about 4 minutes and asks for no Social Security number online.
Larger bonds can need more review, and sometimes collateral. Playa Vista bail amounts for some charges can be high, so call early and have documents ready. Our guide on how much bail costs in California explains how amounts are set.
A note on travelers
Playa Vista is near the airport, so some arrests involve visitors with no local ties. If the person is from out of state, we can still help. A co-signer in Los Angeles may be easier to approve, but we look at each case. Tell us the situation.
If the person was arrested away from home, we can still work with the jail where they are held. Tell us where the jail is, and we will take it from there.
1% down is a down payment on approved credit, not the price of the bond. The premium is the rate on file with the California Department of Insurance, 10% of the bail amount, or 8% when a private attorney is retained or you or the defendant is a veteran. The balance goes on a payment plan.
